If you feel comfortable with it.. check them... my guess is one of the adjustment screws is out.... a vid of the sound would be helpful tho....

Sorry about the crappy recording. It's off of my phone because my laptop only records in WMA which isn't supported on here. but you can hardly hear the engine noise its just the click that shows. If you know how to convert i could upload the better recording. but any ideas on what the click may be?

well, if you're not sure if the valve adjustment has been done, at least consider popping the valve cover to check the clearances if you're not confident about doing the actual adjusting.

biggest problem seems to be the lack of room to maneuver while adjusting and people dropping the feeler gauge down into the engine and being unable to fish it out after doing that... so, don't do that!

how many miles on the bike and does it idle fine after it's been warmed up? any other engine/running related issues?

the bike has 1400 on it now. i bought it with 1100. and after its warmed up it seems to idle alright but is sometimes inconsistent but pretty even overall. and no not really just that random click. which may be a rattle?
