When you turn the key to start does the red led (oil light) or green(if in neutral) on the front dash come on?

How did you check it?

Chances are it's the battery, but you need a volt meter to check it. You need to check it as you put a load on it - turning on the ignition or hitting the starter button. A battery can read full charge while not under load, then drop-off completely as soon as a load is applied.

You may want to look closer at the fuses also.

Battery, go to advanced/auto zone. They can load test it, however it can't even draw enough current to turn on an led so All that voltage but no current to draw. Unless it is disconnected.

Battery. Confirm the connections to it are snug, and then it comes down to the condition of the battery itself.

Sounds like one of the battery cables is loose. The ca-chic noise may be a solenoid or relay clicking because it doesn't have a solid connection.

Same thing happened with my truck, both when the battery cable clamps were worn out (not clamping enough to make a good connection) and when the bolts were loose.

I'd recommend actually getting a wrench on the bolt and verifying it's tight. Just trying to wiggle it may not show any movement.

Also check for loose grounds, wherever they may be.

Was that with the ignition in the "ON" position?

If so, it would seem to be a connection problem.

Was the battery old and dead, or is the charging circuit kaput?
