suspension torque specs
Anyone with a service manual please help me with the torque specs for the rear shock suspension please...I don't have access to the manual here.
basically the torque specs for top shock bolt, bottom shock's bolt, the bolts for the dog bones... Many thanks.. |

Rear Shock Absorber Installation
•Install the rear shock absorber. •Tighten the tie-rod lower bolt and nut. Torque - Rear Shock Absorber Mounting Nuts: 59 N·m (6.0 kgf·m, 44 ft·lb Tie-rod Nut (Lower): 59 N·m (6.0 kgf·m, 44 ft·lb) •Adjust the rear shock absorber spring preload in response to riding condition (see Spring Preload Adjustment). From Manual. Looks like the tie rod is the dog bone. |

many thanks Lewis...
I think the reason my ride is harsh is bc I over torqued the bolts...may be it binded...I'll try to loosen them up and retorque them to specs.. thanks again. |
