I've gotten tons of comments, some include:

Is that a rascal?
Dude, a 250? Come on.
Does it move with your fat ass on it?

Lol. These comments are all from people who don't own bikes, or did, and owned CBR's and R6's and scared the piss out of themselves for starting out on a bike they had no business being on. I've had many great comments though. Most of them praising the Ninja for its cornering abilities, light weight, great fuel economy, and its willingness to let a new rider learn how to ride. I always get asked when and/or if I'm upgrading. If I ever do upgrade, it will be to a KTM 690 Duke. And even then, I'll still keep my little Ninja for a "work" bike.

I get the "upgrade" comment all the time. I ask them what should I "upgrade" to? Lower gas mileage? More expensive to buy and maintain? Heavier and less nimble? Less fun to ride?

When I had my 250, people always used to ask me why I took off the stickers and the second front brake rotor on the front of my 600. I finally got tired of explaining it to folks and would start converstaions with 'It's a 250', at which point the squids would sneer and shake their heads and walk away. Those that stuck around always had positive comments, especially previous owners of 250s. Most of the crowd that I ride with are on 600s of some flavor, and my 'little b@#$h bike' never gave up an inch to them except on a straight flat out high speed run, and everyone marvels at how flickable the little thing is.

My favorite comment this year was when I was on a group ride...we were on the freeway and an R1 was behind me a few feet....the guy said, "Wow- at times I didn't know if my bike was on or off --that pipe you got on there is so freakin" loud."

I smiled.

I get the typical "nice bike" and "pretty bike" and "I really like your bike." comments. I also get the, "It's a 250? No way!" comments whenever someone asks if it's a 600, and expecting me to answer yes.

I guess it depends on what types of cars you are accustomed to driving......But yeah the 250 isn't "slow" where it matters: In the corners.

No, it has nothing to do with you being short. Well, not entirely. I'm 6'2" and I have no problems on longer trips. I've never ridden more than about 200 miles in a single day, but I didn't really feel fatigued when I stopped riding, and I was running twisties the entire 200 miles.

I have gotten the "Is that a 600?" comment a ton. I actually had a sales guy at a dealership that sells Kawi's say to me, "Oh I see you have a Ninja 650 already."

Smile Gotta ignore the jerks...

My Ninja is a pre-gen. 1999. Has the lime green and purple paint scheme.

Guys at work ask me degrading questions about it all the time. Especially strange is that one older guy (63 years old, but looks 90). He originally asked me if I bought it from a queer. Now every day he asks me "Did you ride in side saddle today?" Everybody gets a big laugh and I just smile and laugh too.

The real riders have never said anything negative. One guy is the local 1% biker club president and he has the attitude that anybody on two is cool with him. Nice guy, but I wouldn't want to piss him off!!

All of my coworkers know that I have 3 licensed and insured bikes to choose from every day. They are always surprised that 95% of the time I choose the 250 to ride the 21 miles of interstate on my commute. The 'lil Ninja is comfortable, stable, handles great, goes plenty fast enough, has low maintenance costs and just plain makes the ride enjoyable!

I stopped this morning at a gas station to get an energy drink before work. The attendant told me that he didn't like my "crazy-looking motorcycle." I was like "uh...ok." I wouldn't exactly call it crazy. It's a black '08 with the Monster decals and green rimstripes.

I've gotten mostly positive comments since I've had my Ninjette (about a month).

This one kid I know who's into bikes (currently has a 1000 cc Suzuki) is the only one with the sarcastic BS, calling it "cute" and stuff like that.

All my non-biker friends say it's a nice bike. This one time some random dude came up to me and he was suprised when I told him it's a 250. He said it looks bigger than that. I told him I just started riding so he didn't give me sh*t about it.

i get lots of compliments on the colour (2010 metallic blue), and a few people that can't believe it's not a 600 cause of the styling.

Man, that never happens to me here, but it's probably because the Ninjette is no Vespa and mine doesn't have all these "peace, love, and marijuana" stickers.

I have had only one bad comment by some 18 year old kid saying I wasted my money. Keeping in mind he doesn't ride but is planning on getting some thousand cc bike. Lol but other than him everyone loves my bike.

I get TONS of comments. When I was first negotiating to buy my 250, some young third class I work with probably about 21, was telling me how bored I would get with her after a month. Well it is August now and I am still enjoying my little ninjetta.

One of my favorites is after I did my BRC, this guy in my shop who doesn't even ride said, "I did not know they let scooters in that class." I told him he should man up and ride my bike if he is so BAMF!

Usually though I get positive comments. My husband has been riding bikes since he was three years old and he thinks my ninjetta is pretty sweet and he loves to help me do work on my biike and teach me all about it.

I get that standard, "it loks bigger than a 250" all the time.

Alot of, "wow, that is a clean/sharp/nice/etc. bike"

Then there is all that cat calls about how hot it is that I ride and all that jazz.

At the pool on base, people at the pool can see where I park my bike. When I walked onto the pool deck with my helmet the cutest little girl said, "When I get big I want to ride a motorcycle just like you!" It made me blush a little.

No one believes me when i say its only a 250, most think its a 600.
I havent gotten a single negative comment so far, and i think the green Ninja turns more heads than a Porsche around here. I have even experienced people reaching for their camera/phones and taking pictures when I'm driving through the city

Last night 1:30am, I'm at gas station grabbing an Ice tea after ride. Guy pulls up to pump in what I assume is a stunt cbr900. I walked up, being social asked, hey is that a CBR? (the whole bike was scratched up and sprayed up, no stickers). He corrects me, its a 2003 Aprilla 1000, just needs a paint job. Wow cool thats a rare bike. He points across maybe 40ft away, "that's a new zx 10 right?"

Made my day.

P.S. I've noticed since adding the rim tape the rear tire doesn't get as lost in the dark and it actually looks bigger.
