Why? how do they benefit from that? They aren't promoting international sales and business, they are ending business to all but the one crazy dude who just HAS to have something from Indonesia. No offense maverick9611.

I say screw Indonesia. If their government wants to make those rules, I think the US and other countries should forbid shipping TO them also. Let's see how they like that.

Just power & influence as usual. No different than trucking and tyre industries in U.S. colluding to destroy railroad business. Just have to figure out how to navigate the maze of bureaucracy to get what you want.

I like the concept but what about durability? I won't use an aluminum sprocket because I don't think they would last long. I'll wait for someone to try one out.

High quality aluminum rear sprockets last seemingly forever. I have one that did about 20,000 miles on my H2 before I changed ratios, and you can hardly tell a chain has been on it.

Hey, did you attend the Donald Trump school of economics? We get "hosed" by our overseas friends to the tune of $800 billion dollars/year.

I agree with you Mav. I buy the best where ever it's made. I don't agree with "Buy American, the job you save may be your own". If we didn't buy foreign cars Detroit would be making the same junk they made in 1970. I was simply pointing out what Trump is now saying that foreign countries have been taxing our products for decades while we just sat there with our thumb up our butt - not being crappy.

No apologies brother. I knew I didn't make myself clear. Every time I see this post I read it as "Snobby Poly Sprockets". I'd like mine in snobby blue please.

In the pictures it looks like a steel sprocket with a poly guard. Is that the case? Or is it actually poly all the way through?

until this morning i did not know the process of how they were made. with the the help of bernawanfr,he steered me to emma who works at sinnob. i assumed the sprockets were plastic/poly material. i’m still intrigued with the design and coating process. i assume it’s a steel sprocket that’s coated with polyurethane substance. emma says even the teeth are coated.

According to a "Cycle" magazine article many years ago chain drives are nearly 100% efficient as opposed to gear driven shaft drives.
