This may be true while parked but how close does it come during suspension travel?

I just went out to my shed and jumped up and down with the full force of my 250lb. Butt on my bike. It was still at least 2 inches away from the rearset adjuster, even further from the rearset itself. I could make a video if you don't believe me .

Whoops, didn't see this post till now. Anyway its picture time -
After a while I stopped feeling the smack when they hit, seems the gouge is big enough that clearance issues are no longer there. As long as they don't bump together it works for me. I would be concerned about loosing further suspension travel when needed at full lean. Maybe need to dremel it out a bit. Edit: I run my preload setting at the lowest possible. I am 120 pounds so that is what is recommended for my weight. Have not tried two up since I got the adjusters but it may be a problem... |

I just wanted to add that the ground clearence with these adjusters is noticeably higher and I feel much more confident when taking sharp turns. Now I just need to take off those useless peg feelers that keep catching my pant legs .

Looks like the stock dog bone. Take a pic of your installed rear sets, I'd like to see if we can't figure out what's going on here. Mine isn't even close to rubbing

Hi Guys,
Thanks again for all the orders. I noticed today that I still had 2 "Blem" rearset adjusters that haven't been paid for. So... I'm releasing them for sale. One person has already expressed interest in one (sale pending) so... there is one set left. I am removing the blem code from my web site... so if you would like it... Please PM me. I apologize if you were on the original list for a blem set... but it's been 2 weeks since they were made available. |

Billy: has your bike been dropped on the left side? I believe the mount points for the rear-sets have been known to bend. If they are bent inwards towards the swingarm, this may be why yours are hitting the chainguard. I guess the rear-set could possibly be bent too. Need to check both.

I was able to yank real hard and bend it back. I dropped it earlier this year (the only damage that I knew of was a punched fairing. Had no idea it was bent. Everything else about them is fine then!

Cool. I'm glad we were able to figure it out. Keep a look out for a used stock rear-set on here. They are available at reasonable prices pretty frequently.

I thought I didnt have to re-use my stock shift rod. I Expected one of the threaded rods to be reverse-threaded for the front. Can someone take a head-on pic of how they assembled their rod?
Also, even with the rearsets in the "closest-to-stock" location there is a bit of a kink in the rear brake fluid line. How have you guys routed this line to avoid this? |

You do reuse, I made the same mistake. None of the screws would go into the front. Attach the extension nut to the shift rod and then pick the remaining screw according to length of where your peg will be and screw them in.

I have mine in the furthest back position and have no kinking, all I did was push/pull the brake line through the little mount that holds the line on the undertail. The kinking went away after that.

Received today and installed on my pregen tonight.
If anybody with an 07 or prior bike was interested in purchasing these, you can tell that they weren't made for the pregen due to a few issues on the rear brake side, but they still bolted up just fine after a few adjustments. Thanks! |

After looking at my bike last evening, I think you're referring to the brake light signal wire that goes through a mount. I'm referring to the rear brake reservoir fluid line.
