I was at the beach last week on a family vacation, and the dude at the scooter rental shop had this for sale. He said he built it, and me knowing nothing about the subject, took his word for it.

He seemed pretty proud of himself and was eager to fire it up for me.

It's a Honda Super from the mid to late sixties. s50, s65, s90... not home made, if that's what the guy was trying to imply

Yeah, he must have meant "rebuilt." He was very sad to be selling it but said he needed room for his new project.

I was afraid to ask what he wanted for it! Regardless, I had no way to transport it home.
