IRC rubber

guys I picked up a 300 I did a track day last week with my 250 and the Bridgestone bt tires. I'm selling my 250 obviously with the tires on it and I plan on doing a track day with the IRC road winner tires on the 300
So far they really seem respectable
like I had read a couple of negative things about them but warmed up they seem to offer a very good grip.
Does anybody really not like the irc I heard something about them being spec r tires which were made for a little bit more aggressive riding

You can absolutely track IRC tires

the grip they have is nothing compared to better, more track focused, tires though. I know of a few people that have run stupid fast times on ninja 300's with IRC tires on them. The grip is there, however you don't get away with as many mistakes as you would with better tires which forces you to be a bit smoother.

Ok thanks

I ran the Lightning course at Njmp in reverse and there were quite a few 250 and 300s there ,
some looked stock , some didn't ,all ran well.
Even the original 250 was there doing great 😀
Good advice about the tires thanks they felt fine on local twisty roads
much obliged

Yup, btw if you've ridden with TPM. Glen is particularly good on those tires, he ran 1:48s on IRC tires on a stock Ninja 300 at thunderbolt last monday

my favorite tires for the bike so far are still the michelin pilot street radials though those don't hold up as well as I'd like to track abuse

You can track on any tires, IRC included, just be aware of their limitations. IMO they have little feel at the limit and outright grip kinda sucks. I did one day on some IRC stockers and towards the end of the day when I was pushing ..... they punished me with little warning.
