Bottom triple clamp sits too high in frame.
Currently installing new steering bearings and was hoping to get everything buttoned up aaand it seems the bottom steering clamp hits the little bracket mount for something or another not allowing full lock to lock steering!! Did I somehow install the bottom steering stem bearing cap too high in the steering tube? Or am I missing something obvious? |

What new bearings are you installing? Tapered?
If so, you should have new upper and lower races and possibly a seal. |

"The top and bottom bearings are different." The all balls kit comes with 4 different parts between the seals races and bearings and as far as I understand it you can't really put the top bearing in the bottom and I don't think you can install the top bearing race in the bottom of the steering tube, so if I have all parts fitted they only fit in one orientation correct?

While the outer races are different OD, both the inner races have 30mm ID and both bearings have same ID. It can be assembled 4 different ways.

Wow, that picture... it looks like you don't even have a bearing in there.
I'm interested to know what's going on with your modification because I was considering putting an All Balls tapered bearing kit in my '05 EX250. At this point I don't have a theory about what went wrong with your install, please let us know when you get it sorted out. |

One bearing is 4mm taller than other. It will fit in both upper and lower races in head-tube.

So it seems I had mixed up the bearings and their races my first go at it, so I removed both races and tried installing them (again) according to the ninja250.org wiki faq page on it (https://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Steeri...ng_replacement) but now Im running into the issue that I cant get the 3504 bearing race into the top at all and the 3503 is loose enough to fall out from gravity, this cant be right can it?

So I've removed my apparently wrongly installed bearing races and trying to install the correct ones and they do not seem to fit at all at least not according to the instructions from https://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Steeri...ng_replacement's instructions!
The bottom brace is so loose as to fall straight out and the top doesn't want to go in with any amount of hammer persuasion. It really seems like their supposed to be swapped. Something must be wrong right? here's photos of the new bearings not fitting anyways. |

At this point I would contact the seller and describe the issues you are having.
Ask them for the part numbers for your bike and compare it to what you have. Something sure doesn't seem right. |
