Gas cap replacement

Hi, I had my bike stolen and the little F***ers drilled out the ignition and gas tank.

I replaced my ignition but im trying to find a cheap sub 30.00 gas cap keyed or not but I'm having no luck. Will the 07 cap fit on the 2010 model?

anyone know of a cheap spot to get one or any reviews?

Free bump for more views. I thought there were some non-lockable caps available pretty cheap.

There are a few chinese/aluminum spin on fuel caps on Ebay. I just put one on my 2012. Fitment sucked and had to do some grinding, but the end result looks good.

I just bought O.E.M blank keys for my newly acquired 2007. Took them to a locksmith and the keys worked on everything but the gas cap. Since I don't like locking gas caps anyway I bought one on eBay and it fit perfectly and it's made in the U.S.A. Go to eBay and put this item # in the search field - 201476065917. It's beautifully CNC machined. I installed it with stainless Allen head screws but the original screws will work fine. $34.95 and free shipping.

A bit spendy, but pretty cool (I know you said you're looking for something sub-30 bucks, just wanted to share this in case anyone else is looking)

For you, ebay is your best bet:

With Key:

Without Key:

Otherwise, yes you could do this. I'd take the tumbler out, and remove the pins.

Spendy? Well, you could just buy a big cork. Seriously, I wish I had thought to pull the tumbler pins. Well, when some punk walks off with my fancy gas cap that's what I'll do. Thanks.

Wow, that eBay cap with key is quite a deal if it's any good.

I guess that's why I liked it. I'm not up on the differences between pregen and newgen caps.
