Lack of electrical power

Hi all,

Recently had troubles with going into neutral for initial startup and i figured out that it was the engine ground that wasn't connector to battery negative, so i connected that.

Now, however, when i idle, there isn't enough power generated as i can see the dash being unsteadily lit. Furthermore, if i put on the turn signal, every time it blinks, the headlight dims. When riding normally, i.e. at higher RPM, this problem does not exist.

Battery is pretty new, half a year old, and the bike starts fine.

I have yet to check the wiring from the stator to the electrical circuit of the bike.

Could the stator be the problem?

FWIW, when my bike was totally stock, I could make the bright light dim by turning on a turn signal while idling. Never had any other issues with it, so I ignored it.
