How's the seat cowl matching up? I was hoping you wouldn't have to repaint it! Looking good though, best color!

lol....ya bad design on Kawasaki's parts. That grommet idea is garbage.

That's why I included that part # for a replacement at your local hardware store. If you keep a fresh grommet in you shouldn't have too many issues. If you remove the cowl off & on a lot the grommet wears out and likes to come loose. The grommet I sent was one I had been using for several months. I bet a fresh grommet would hold a lot better. They are usually like $0.30-0.50. I always kept several on hand and in the tool bag!

Glad the paint matched up! You can't even tell from the photos!

I noticed that too Justin. I bought the cowl straight from Kawasaki and it is 100% OEM. New out of the box I noticed the red on the underside of the cowl. They don't paint the underside very well! You wouldn't think they all started out painted red first then on too different colors! I have seen stranger though. I always figured the primer was just red? You are for sure the 2nd owner and I never repainted it!

Are you planning on replacing the material on the seat and cowl bumper with lime green material? You could likely find some at your local arts supply store and do the upholstery work yourself for relatively cheap.

J....going back towards the beginning of the thread....dyna beads....put them on my FZ6 and they worked immediately to stop a high speed thump in my front wheel. Now...the thump is back...maybe 1k miles. It's not much money but buying 4 packs of beads and the gadget that gets them into the wheel cost me more than weights and balancing off bike at a shop....and the problem came back ??? Hey...as for hiding the wieghts...why hide them? Paint them, what, black on a green wheel, green on a black wheel

I have a spare seat (when I bought the bike, the seat had a tear, but the guy already had bought a replacement seat, so I got both) that I want to wrap in red, but I have yet to find a place to buy the material... I have been looking, but have not found a material that looks durable enough...

Try it. Then if you don't like it and/or you have extra, send it my way with those bar ends so that I can put it over my pillion seat so it looks like a cowl-ish thing when I'm ridin solo

lol! I know I need the tires first! then they are getting coated. Thats what Im waiting on! The tires for the wheels, imma do it all at once.

For the wife i need to finish my custom box for a kicker L5 then this, this, and an amp which is yet to be determined. The L5 is rated at 450 watts RMS.

We want to keep her stock system as it sounds really good, just wanna give some serious lows cause she has Ford Sync and component speakers and all that good **** stock.

also want to tint her windows and powder coat her rims... black and red with a bumpin system. thats what im talking about

I would probably buy you tires, I'm so sick of waiting for you, but I just got Exhaust/Intake/Tune/Shifter for the mustang
