Swapping rear shock w/ SV650?

Hey all,

So recently a friend of mine offered to give me his old SV650 rear shock to throw onto my '09 two-fiddy. I've been searching around but I'm having a hard time finding out whether or not it will fit.... I was wondering if anyone with some experience in this sort of thing could tell me if I could make it work without having to do any cutting on the frame. If not, does anyone know if other shocks, specifically kawasaki, would fit onto the bike? Ie: a zx6r shock.

I appreciate the help and apologize if this has been discussed before!

-K

I think they've done it on older gen but not newers. The new gen shock is pretty good..unless you're rocking the track intermed or expert, shock is fine..for street it's plenty good
