ignition wiring
I believe my ignition switch went out. I go to start the bike and theres absolutely nothing. The battery is good and fuse. I put a screwdriver connecting the terminals on the starter relay it cranks. So I'm guessing ignition switch. I would like to do away with it and use a switch instead of a key.
Here is my wiring on the bottom of the ignition. what wires do I connect to 2 terminals on the flip switch? . . . . fyi the only electrical thing on the bike is the motor itself and headlight and taillight

I had the same thing happen to me when I came out of a store. Turns out that the kill switch got bumped and turned everything off. Flipped it back and all was well. Another time, the bike was in 1st and I thought it was in neutral. Same result.
You need the ignition switch to keep the ECU happy. Its a security measure.

not sure if that helps. the ingition box is what we call the ecu? ecu usualy is for EFI stuff i thought. right now i dont care about making it happy.
took everything apart. multimetered everything. kill switch is fine. kickstand and clutch switch have been deleted and looped for awhile now.

ECU = Electronic Control Unit.
Different box on EFI, but same name. Sometimes people call it the CDI or igniter, but the Ninja ignition box is smarter than a dumb CDI. So ECU, CDI, or igniter and people will usually figure out what you mean. The following is a wiring diagram that should help. Any chance your creative wiring of the clutch and kick stand have come loose? Also, check the neutral switch to make sure its working. Easy check. If the light is lit on the dash in neutral, its working.

i hotwired my ignition switch when it went out. there's a resistor somewhere in there, i'll see if i can pull up the info. it's to make it harder to steal because if there isn't a certain amount of current, it will crank but not spark.

There is a 100 ohm resistor on the gray wire. Without it, it wont start.
Having said that, I still think removing the ignition switch is a bad idea. Here's a guy selling the ignition switch, all three locks plus the key for $40 w/free shipping on ebay. They are usually a lot cheaper than that, but so some reason, the pregens aren't readily available right now. Getting all the locks at once is a plus because then you don't have to re-key anything or carry multiple keys.

its not cranking at all though. like there is a dead battery. but its good.
touch with screwdriver both terminals on starter realy..it cranks. il try to by pass with the diagram and see if that works.

A fuse is the most likely culprit. I've never heard of an ignition switch on a ninja going bad (short of physical damage), but you're could be the first.
If all fuses test OK, including the big 30A main, then check to make sure the neutral light on the dash is on. If not, then check the neutral switch. Then start at the starter solenoid and work your way backwards. Make sure the starter solenoid will engage when voltage is applied to it. Next is the starter relay.
