The afternoon session greeted the riders back from lunch break with an equally wet track, despite the rain easing off and a dry line showing up in the very last minutes. *Tim Georgi got right back to work and picked up where he left off, at the top of the timesheets, but some of the luck deserted him, the German rider crashing out on his fourth lap, while on a red hot time.*

Georgi’s best lap was only bettered in the final two minutes, when Mir blasted his way to the top, four tenths clear of second-placed Aron Canet and half a second in hand over Adam Norrodin.*
