Brand Spankin New Yoshi & Jetting.

Hey friends far-and-wide in this awesome Ninja community! This is my first post on this site so go easy on me eh.

I have just been to FedEX to pick up my brand-spanking-new Yoshimura full TRC exhaust system. As you can also see my BT-016 (rear 150/60, front 110/70) and my Factory Pro Jet-Kit have also arrived. It's nice coming back home from the bush to find shiny things at your door.

I ordered the Yoshi as I got a decent deal on it with free shipping ordered from Vancouver (my excuse for not buying Area-P).

So my question put to the forum is this. I cannot find a jetting set-up with my exact modifications in the database...and I was hoping someone would help me find a set-up to get in the ballpark for optimal performance? Please!

YEAR: 2009

INTAKE MODIFICATIONS: Snorkel Removed

EXHAUST MODIFICATIONS: Yoshimura TRC Full-Exhaust System with the baffle IN.

JET KIT OR STOCK?: Jet Kit

BRAND OF JET KIT?: Factory Pro 1.0

MAIN JET: ??

NEEDLE AND CLIP POSITION: ??

MIXTURE SCREW SETTINGS: ??

ELEVATION: Sea-level in Victoria B.C. Canada. Where temperature usually range between 10-20 degrees C (or for you Yanks 50-70 degrees F) and humidity is 75-100%.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR BIKE’S JETTING SETUP: I will sync carbs beforehand.

Anything else you need to know?

If you are leaving the airbox in, start with shimming the stock needles. See how it performs fully warmed and at WOT. For your elevation and temp range you should be OK.

sorry but i need to be sure!!!
-If you got a fuel injected ninja you can't shim the needles since it dosen't have carbs and therefor needs a chip like powercommander to make the right air/fuel mix??? Am i right?

before you install the headers.

weld a wideband o2 sensor bung just after the merge collector.

after you have installed the exhaust, install the wideband and watch the afr as you ride.

see if the afr are not too lean.
