7500 Mile Service
So it's that time of year.. or life.. I just hit 7500 as I pulled in to my garage tonight. Meaning it's time for my 7500 mile service. Lucky me!
Now.. I've seen the maintenance schedule PDF that is posted on here, and I've seen the service manual. It appears like a lot of things are "inspect" elements that I could take care of myself, but there are other things I wouldn't dare do myself (valve inspection, vacuum synch, etc.). How should I go about the 7500 service? Should I just take it to a Kawi dealer and let them do it all? And if I do.. what am I looking at cost wise? Or should I do a lot of inspections myself, and have my local mechanic do the harder parts of the service? Any ideas/opinions would be great.. this is my first big service. I just want her to keep running right! Thanks all!

I'm about 2000 miles away from the 7500 service, which will come fast. I called dealer and he said it would be around $210-250. I am going to change the oil myself before taking it in so that should cut down on cost some. I just don't have the know how or the equipment to sync the carbs, check valves or lube the chassis. I could prob do the spark plugs myself, but I would rather just let them.
