2011 Ninja LED Installation Issues :/
Ok, so here is my problem. I just bought two sets of LEDs. I bought the flush mounts from modmy250 and the integrated taillight from custom LED. I installed the flush mounts and they went in fine on the fairings. Put in the relay where I was supposed to and waited for my tail light. That just came in and now I have lots of problems. I swapped my old halogen with my new LED, plugged everything in. The tail light flickered to life. I pressed the brake, ok cool the brake works, I pressed mt turn signals annnnnd. . . It clicks like its supposed to be blinking but both of my front turn signals are blinking and both of my rear turn signals are blinking all at the same time. Ok so I thought I had to put in the new relay that I got from custom LED. I put it where I thought I had to put it, heard a pop (because im a moron and didnt take my key out) and now my tail light wont even turn on.
So now I have a few questions. Did i really just fry my new taillight because I'm an idiot? Could it be that the reason they were all blinking at the same time is because I crossed wires somewhere? Can someone who has dealt with something like this help me? |

Ok so I've discovered I need a Diode that may solve one issue. I still am wondering about the Tail light though.

Yup i'm an idiot I believe the reason it isn't turning on is because of a blown fuse xD

Hahaha...don't feel bad man, I was Customled's first NewGen 250r customer, so I had to figure out the wiring for them. I blew a fuse as well. But the relay+the rear light should work.
Although, I totally removed the stock turn signals, so I'm not sure if that made a difference. |

Wiring for relay
So I have front and rear LEDs and a custom led tail light, and their relay, which is not plug and play. On their relay the two wires are red and black, the oem harness relay wires are orange and orange and green stripped. Which goes to which on the 2012?
I have installed the diode kit and everything works as it should, I just have a new relay laying around that needs to be hard wired and I want to do it |
