slip-on exhaust
is it required to have a FP jet kit when running a slip-on exhaust? Im more worried about engine life than performance. Running a slip-on without a FP jet versus with a FP jet kit. which set up maximizes engine life?
Thank You |

I'd say a jetting change will help engine longevity by helping the engine to run at a less lean (hot) condition. These engines are set pretty lean from the factory as it is...adding a slip on leans it out even more.
No need for a jet kit, though... shimming the needles will richen the mixture where it needs it most... in the low and midrange. have you read this? http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9465 |
