Koso RX2 Gauge with voltmeter?

I am looking for the Koso RX2 gauge with voltmeter. I have found the gauge itself but not the voltmeter along with it. Also I am not sure if it will fit on the bike with no other mods needed or if I have to restructure the mounts to it will fit.

dont think the "kits" with the voltmeter, and custom brackets are available in the states yet. ive send like 4 kits to the states so far, and 2 custom dashboards for ppl that already owned the speedo itself, but didnt like the koso dash.

http://youtu.be/K4mB_OmGezc
thats the last one i sent over to california, posted a short vid of it starting up.

the price (excluding shipping) is:

koso RX2N/RX2N + custom bracket + voltmeter) = $410
koso RX2N/RX2N + custom bracket) = $350

this price is including a 15% mark up, more than half of which gets gobbled up by PayPal...

one person wanted the voltmeter, while the other 2 didnt want it, when i bought these three during a GB.

in america? not that im aware of... but i could be wrong, since i have never looked for anyone selling them there. although i am surprised that no one is selling these kits over there already, since there would be a reasonably big demand for them if it were available.

so you would still have to get it from here in Indonesia at this point in time.

the voltmeter is from Koso too actually, if you google "koso voltmeter" you get pictures of the same one that i get with the kits here. not sure what the item# is, i think you can find that or even a place to buy it online if you look through some of those links.

as reference, i think i can get the voltmeter for about $68 here. and the custom fiberglass bracket costs about the same.

gl!

if you go to:
http://www.kosonorthamerica.com/

then select motorcycle parts, and go on page 4, there is a voltmeter that looks the same, just that the color of the light is Blue, rather than red.

item: DL-01 VOLT METER
Code: BA484B30

however its still: Available soon...
and way more expensive! $159.95

Nelson: Wayan is trying to tell you he can get everything you need. It just has to come from Indonesia and be shipped to the States. No biggie. I ordered one from him and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

noooooo... i wasn't trying to say that! lol....

well maybe i was hinting that it is possible to get it from here if he wasn't able to get it any other way,

the option is there, but it would be easier if it were available over there. int. shipping sorta hurts the wallet >.<

hahaha well thank you for the offer wayan, and thanks again for the link. that site seems to be absolutely perfect! When you order the RX2 does it come with the mount and brackets and everything so that the voltmeter can be installed along with it or is their more that has to be ordered

the standard koso dash looks like this:

(gear indicator is optional, and only works with EFI models)

while the custom bracket we get made here in indonesia looks like this:

so you cant fit the voltmeter on koso's bezel, unless they have made some recent changes that im not aware of~

alright just to humor me, do you know how much it is for the koso gauge along with the voltmeter and the whole nine yards? and if you know how much it would be to ship to the states roughly. bc so far I cant find that whole setup around here or on the web

its a Plug and play kit. you only have to plug in the 2 temp sensors (water and oil), run a cable to the battery for the power source, and a cable down the front forks to the magnet sensor for the speed reeading.

the only "mechanical" thing you will really need to do is remove the side and front farings, to remove the old speedo, and bolt in the new kit.

as long as you have a set of allenkeys you are basically set!

the rest is set up on the koso, you need to dial in that its a 4 stroke engine, 2 pistons, number of magnets, radius of the front wheel, the time, and then your set.

o ya, u need a wrench to install the temp sensors, hehe

what might be the cheaper and more secure solution would be to just buy the custom bracket and the voltmeter from here, and buy the Koso speedometer in america. they also have a P&P harnes kit for the ninja250.

the only difference is that you will need to splice in the voltmeter yourself. the rest should be roughly the same.

that would cost $145 for the voltmeter and bracket only. this would make the shipping cheaper too, since it would be much lighter, than sending the whole kit.

that's another idea for you to consider.

No that absolutely sounds like a good plan. Would it be easy to buy the harness from over there as well. Or will come with the koso gauge?

the harness can be bought in the states for $50.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KOSO-...item5645bb4f1b

koso RX-2 gauge can be had here for ~ $300

http://www.biohazardcycles.com/servl...DOMETER/Detail

so that's ~$350 + $150 (bezel + voltmeter not including shipping from Wayan). so roughly $500 total and no shipping costs from indo included yet. at this point i'd rather say just buy it COMPLETE from Wayan and pay international shipping. LOL. there was a GB for the Koso gauges headed up by Outlander. Not sure if it's complete or still going on.

no company here "exports" these so to speak. i buy the kits from a shop, test them, pack them properly and send them out by DHL or whatever you choose for the shipping.

i can accept PayPal, which is something that almost no one here in indonesia accepts.

i havent send a single Koso Kit by DHL, the other times i sent them was bundled up with other bits, so i cant give a price in advance for that until i get DHL to price it.

there is also a insurance % that is charged on top by dhl. for the last package i declared the goods at half (or quarter) the price, since it was over $1000 worth of goods, and it would have cost another $50 for the insurance... thats also something that you can decide once we get the shipping price by DHL.

you might want to join the GB, which is still in a bit of a limbo, which Outlander is heading up from the state side. im just waiting for the green light, and the $$ before i do anything on my end.

i cant find the thread tho... post there and i should get a notification if you find it, hehe.

enjoy your week end!
W.

Do the two blank 'button-like' things below the speedo have a function? e.g. for additional indicators?
I really like the RX-2 for the ability to change backlight, but am hating the asymmetry of it.
Would a model like the RX-1N need a bezel?

Those are function buttons to go thru the menu and select settings and such. They also switch between oil or water temp displayed ,reset the trip meter, etc.

Heya, would you be getting the Koso gauge from Koso USA? i find that to be the easier solution, if i just need to order and ship the bezel.

i would have to check again what they cost but if your interested i can look into it. last time i sent a bracket for a fellow member, Steve, that was back in April 2016. it cost $50 for a bracket, and shipping to Long Beach, NJ.

can email me at wayanlam@gmail.com
