GPS Unit to use on Bike? (Magellan Maestro)

Hi,

I got this GPS unit from my Dad. He used it for his Truck.

I just wonder if it will work on my Bike. ie: It can handle being mounted on a motorcycle?

the below Model, be able to handle Vibrations from a motorcycle, etc? (i have a GPS rain cover for it, so rain/water isnt a issue)

2007 Magellan Maestro 3100

Discuss...

Thanks!!!

I know that there are GPSes made for motorcycles like the Tom Tom Rider, Tom Tom Rider 2nd Edition, and some Garmin Zumo. They are made for daytime visibility in direct sunlight, gloved operation, motorcycle-specific route suggestions, etc. If you can tolerate the lack of those features, it should be fine.

Ok, good!

I'll just go ahead and mount up something and get a Power outlet added on the bike!!!

Im on a Budget, so i cannot afford a new Fancy moto-GPS, etc!

Ill post an Update about my Experiences with it and any problems that arise!

I know it isnt waterproof. it will be in a waterproof cover. Im just worried that the vibrations will damage the unit, in the long run. Only time will tell.
