fairing grommets
I kept my plastics i had from my crash last year to use for when ever i end up going to the track, well i may be going in a couple weeks but would like to get a new set of rubber grommets because they were horrible to get out and installed in the new ones.
Im talking about the grommets that hold the side cover on each side of the bike in place. It uses 3 grommets and i believe there are also 2 more on the rear plastics, one each but they are different from the previously mentioned ones. Any technical name or part number would be great Last futzed with by Old Lemon; July 30th, 2013 at 12:18 AM. |

Ah. Confusing because those hold the "side panel" which is not at all a battery cover.
They're just...grommets. should be an easy find.

fixt original post, ty for pointing that out.
The grommets on the rear plastics look different than these. Like one side is large like those and the other side is very small. Cant get the plastics off now cause sleep need I dont know much of anything when it comes to measuring but i found these http://www.lowes.com/Search=rubber+g...ubber+grommet#! dont know which size our bikes take |

You could use similarly-sized hardware store grommets, which worked well for me on my old Suzuki GS. I've also seen duct tape used in a pinch (wrap some around the hole and punch a small hole in the middle, then shove the side panel pin through it).

I needed a new one of those too. Somehow I lost one in the process of adjusting my valves. But anyway, I found them at Lowes. It may not be the exact part from Kawasaki but it certainly gets the job done. Just take an old one in and use it to compare to the new ones.

I lost one of those as well. Just ended up using some fuel hose worked like a charm. ^^
