49 state gas tank question.
I bought a used ninja cali 250r 2008 recently, which had been wrecked. One of
the major problems was the gas tank, so I replaced it with a like-new tank off ebay... what I didn't know was that the tank was a 49-state tank. On the Cali model it has three hose lines on the side, while my new tank has just one... What am I supposed to hook up to the single line? if anything. I saw the posts on how to remove the fuel emissions, but I'm unsure of what this single hose connects too. Any help would be appreciated. |

On the 49 state tank, one line on the petcock is a vacuum line the other goes straight to the carb.
The single line near the top of the tank is a drain hose and connects to nothing and runs down underneath the bike where the other hoses are. |

I believe you are referring to the 3 nipples on the side of the gas tank. Not the fuel pickup/ vacuum lines beneath the tank correct? What you will need to do is go through the diy on how to plug the cali. emissions stuff. Then with all of that out of the way, the single outlet on the side of the tank is simply for ventilation/ overflow for the tank. You will need to just find the hose that is kind of just sticking out of the bottom of the bike and plug that into the nipple on the side of the tank.
