No-cut Diode kit
I just finished my first no-cut Diode kit. I couldn't make it fully plug and play without adding to the cost. Wiring up a 9 pin harness would take a lot more time and the way I do it, if you can remove your front fairing, you shouldn't have any trouble removing a pin and reinserting it into another harness. Please read my DIY for more info.
Price is $15 shipped in the US, $16 shipped to Canada. All others, please pm me for shipping quotes. I'm still working on my new website, so I can only take orders thru pm at this time. Thanks! Tri

I don't have ANY led's on my bike right know, but plan to go flush mount in the front and integrated in the tail. If I installed this now would it have any effect?

No, it shouldn't affect operation of stock lights. The way the kit works is that it takes both incoming signals and applies power to the indicator. The reason the stock wiring causes the 4 LED blinkers to flash at the same time is because the circuit is in a loop and there's no terminating ground at the indicator. The bike relies on the turn signals and indicator to draw enough power to keep the opposite side from blinking. This creates a ground at the indicator so that power isn't fed back thru.

I have the LED front blinkers and tridon relay you offered as a group purchase and also a hot bodies undertail.
When I installed the front blinkers with the stock rears along with the tridon relay, it worked perfectly. Then I installed the hotbodies LED undertail and I had 4-way flashers. So... I purchased a LED flasher relay from SuperBright LED's (CF12ANL-01), figured this would fix my 4-way LED flasher problem, yet it did not. I still have 4-way flashers. Would what you are offering fix my issue? I'm at a loss here. |

I have your flush mount kit up front, and a HotBodies undertail on the rear. He's not kidding when he says the install takes 15 minutes - it took me longer to remove and install the fairing than the actual install itself. This is a very slick, very cool way of solving the blinker issue - without hacking your bike's harness at all. It would be no problem to go 100% back to stock later on down the road if you wished.
This kit rocks, and is a must have. Talk about making life easy!! |

Thanks J! Glad it worked out for you. Not having to remove both fairings and the front cowl makes it all worth it to me.

Hey
So if I install 4 LED's in 4 of the signals, do I still need a relay after using this method? (Your invention on the no-cut diodes)

Yes, the Relay is still necessary unless you install some resistors. I don't recommend that because the resistors required dissipate a good amount of heat and can be dangerous if not mounted correctly.

Yes, the new relay replaces the old one. Although its not under the seat. You will see it when you remove the rear left fairing.

Solid front turn signals
I installed the intergrated tail from custom LED, the flasher relay they said I needed, and the diode that was also said to be needed... the tail works great but my stock front signals just stay solid (no flash). Anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like a relay problem. Unplug the tail light and see if the front blinkers flash again. If they do, you need a better relay.
