Question Cutting off the tail (not tail tidy)

hi everyone.
I'm interested in removing the tail on my ninja 250 similar to the 31BLK kit that many of you would have seen.

who has experience in such a mod and how did you go about it? I cant sweem to find many links on how its best done and would love for some helpful advice.

any Aussies that have done this and registered their bike afterwards would also be handy to hear from but all advice welcome and encorraged.

thanks!

pic below is my inspiration, but i dont have the cash for the kit to do it.

Ha,ha. It's cool bling! No worse than the original plastic that hung down there.

You are showing your age Jim! *just teasing* Remember, I'm older than you.

I searched a little, and got the impression it might be the passenger seat! I don't know... I'm a function over form guy, and if I wanted to have a passenger seat, I'd most likely leave it behind the driver's seat, and if I didn't need it, I'd leave it at home at save the weight.

Here's the tool you need to cut off tail. Remove anything on your bike that's not in the photo.

Thanks for the replies, guys,
Jim, I think that's just the fairing to cover the coolant tank and ugly silver radiator.. The seat is on the handlebars where the headlight would go, but I'm not going for quite that look. I'm just keen on doing the cut for now (provided I can source a new chassis as mines no good)

Thanks jacryan. I'll give that a go if I can.. Though a dremmel might be a bit more gentle.

I'm curious about frame strength though afterwards
