250R Buyer's Checklist

I’ve been lurking the forums for a little while now before finally registering yesterday, and thought I’d start a little discussion on a topic that I couldn’t find any reference to on this site at all.

When purchasing a used vehicle there are a huge amount of areas that have to be checked in order to determine if it’s a sound investment or something that is likely to blow up on your way home. Some of these can often be related to quite specific issues or perhaps weak points of the particular model.

With this in mind, I thought it might be a good idea to put together a manageable list or checklist that can be used while inspecting your next 08-12 250R at the dealer’s house.

I know there are a few general lists available online, but the good ones, such as the one linked below, are quite long winded and do not cover any model specific issues.

I am by no means an expert, but I know I would benefit greatly from such a resource and I am sure others here might do the same.

EDIT: Just realised the above link is stickied in the marketplace section, but I still think a more manageable and model specific list would be useful.
