Cool Inside your head: Porting

Bringing you another Ninjette.org exclusive

The thirst for knowledge continues as we seek to make more power from our little motors!

It's late and I can't think so I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves for now.

Plastic resin was poured around the cylinder head to produce 3D moldings (images) of the ports. This will help in figuring out what material to grind out when doing a porting job.

Every engine is cast differently, so this is not a bad way to find the inconsistencies and improve on the factory cast.

Winner winner chicken dinner!

I was trying to figure out what to use, melt my plastic lures, molding resin, expanding foam and settled on some gasket maker. It's cheap, I already had it, and sets super fast. Turned out really well.

I'll complete a write up as time allows regarding porting.
