I know of at least another Ninjette on the road in Vancouver yesterday.

Bike: green new-gen

Time: about 3 pm

Place: on Marine Drive skirting the UBC above Wreck Beach (nudist in summer)

Direction: heading east; I was on my blue 05 ZZR going due west towards Spanish Banks. I nodded.

The weather here in Victoria was decent on Saturday - about +5c and sunny, so I went out riding for maybe about 80-90 minutes.

I hope to again today, but it doesn't look like it'll be as 'warm'.

Still riding. I do need to get a set of offroad handgaurds so my ATV grip pouches don't trip the switches. Hands not only stay warm, but rather dry as well. Winter Storm Warnings for the first part of the week, so I might see some snow.

Still riding here in socal as it hits 18* in my riding spots from 4,000'-7,000' in mountains
If it rains the snow will stop me though Black ice is no fun even in a car.

Hit 35-40* here last night in town at 1,600'. Gotta at least be conscious of ice.

Took the bike out this morning to work. Raining and 40*. Needless to say I love my new Olympia riding gear. It was a little pricey, but it works flawlessly.

Front tire feels like it is loose in the turns, like it is pushing. I need to check the air pressure when I get home tonight.

Snowed here yesterday and that made me discover some bad news as well... I use my riding pants as snow pants since they're water-proof and have protective padding in them Seems the baby bump is growing pretty quickly now I think last weekend may have been the end for me for a while

This lot (at Alice's and STP in Woodside, CA) is usually swarming with bikes on a weekend afternoon. Today I was alone. Never seen it like that, and I go almost every week.

My wife is very cold blooded when it comes to winter but the Tourmaster gloves I got her seem to be doing very well. Raining today or I think she'd be back out

Yup this rain surely deposited snow on the upper twisties.
Looks like city riding from now on. My bike's new and never seen rain yet though so think I might try and keep it that way

Your bike has never seen rain, John???? I couldn't imagine that.

EVERY bike deserves to see rain.

Heck the rain my bike saw last night was its bath. I got back home, wiped it down, put on some spray on wax, then rolled it out of the way.

I was going to head out in the snow last Friday, but my wife was freaking out, so I didn't so she wouldn't be worried. I'm crazy like that though.

Looks like Thursday may be the next ride to work day for me. Barring any change in the weather or honey-do's that force me to take the cage.

Not dressed particularly warmly - just the Joe-Rocket jacket with a T-shirt and sweater underneath, a silk scarf, without the rain barrier - and not feeling particularly cold either. The fairing really proves its worth in the cold, and a stuffed tank bag cuts the draft down to a breeze. When wet, the bike stays dry under a good rain cover in front of the house. Right now, 10 pm, there is frost on both my car and the bike cover, but tomorrow afternoon, I'll be riding again. Another good thing about cold riding. The curvy waterfront roads are almost tourist-cars free. The biggest risk is a speeding ticket.

+1 as long as it's dry I'm riding to work...besides i love riding, that 351w in my truck costs 10 bucks a day to go to work and back...the ninja maybe 50 cents!!!

Ive been riding still. I would actually be riding more if I felt safe but I'm still learning and riding in the rain seems like a bad surface to start off on. I plan on heading over to the training course parking lot tomorrow just for some low-speed practice. Should be a good 50 degrees tomorrow and sunny!

Well, I thought I'd ride tomorrow or Thursday but the low temp for tonight/tomorrow a.m. is 2F and 4F for Thursday

The risk of frostbite without better gloves and face protection it too great to give it a try. Oh well, maybe next week.

Winterized it last weekend. We had some great weather all through November, but it can't last forever. For example: Today we're having a snow storm

15° out there today in Michi-damnitscolda-gan with a high of 30. I elected not to take the bike. I've been riding a lot in the 20-32 degree range, and don't seem to mind that; but 20 seems like the point where my gloves are just able to keep my little digits from severely losing heat. (Joe Rocket, don't remember the name, has thinsulate, drytech and thermolyte logos on the material info)

I took a ride on a 15° morning last saturday and midway on my 10mile trip my fingers felt like i'd left them in an icebath for 5 minutes.

Gotta move to heated grips or gloves if I'm going to continue; May be quitting work at the end of december so I can get ready for OCS, so I may just try to ride it out.

Just got back from an hour ride and went to and from work yesterday (50 mile round trip), its 3 Celsius (or 37.4 Fahrenheit) outside.

Lowered the front tire down to 26 psi, it seems to get a bit warmer but only on the left side, but it feels to soft so I might pump it up to 28 psi again tomorrow. Good temperature from the rear tire though all the way around, feels warm to the touch (its 32 psi). Even when cold the IRC's seem to deliver enough grip for some fun. If only I could get a better feeling from the front rather than just having to trust it.

So what kind of gear do ya'll wear

I'm in north alabama and the lowest temp I've seen on my morning commute is 28 and the average the last month or so is 36..I'm getting bye with long johns and jeans, with a tee shirt and hoody and my riding jacket on a ten mile commute.
I do get cold but it's bearable. Not as bad as a Black hawk at a couple thousand feet or during hot refuel

I fired up my bike yesterday afternoon for the first time in a week. It was cloudy, dry, and about +2c (that's about 36f). I rode for maybe a steady 30 minutes on some backroads, and then I gave up and came back home. The bike was fine with the cold weather, but not me!
