95 with no spark...

I got board this winter and decided to go nuts on my old 95. long story short I'm turning it into a offroad beast! i know it sounds crazy, but I assure you it's going to be really cool. I plan on posting pics as soon as it's complete.
A few questions about the ignition system.
I've taken out all of the unnessary wiring(headlight, signals, gauges ect.) It still has a battery, starter and rectifier. I did away with the ignition switch and basicly hot wired the bike and am running the bike thru the kill switch.
After all this I have no spark. I'm assuming I can still get spark with no tach hooked up?
I've almost gone blind looking at the wiring scematic for hours on end. I've done all the multimeter test on the coils and ignition pick up. they check out. The bike ran fine before I tore it down. Only has 8500 miles on it.
I have 12V on the red leads before my coils. I've bypassed the clutch switch, sidestand, and nutral switch. (I THINK!) Will the starter still spin but not give spark if one of these is not bypassed? I can spin the starter all day long.
Is there a theft deturent resistor or anything in the ignition barrel? What am i missing?
The faster I can get this figured out the faster I can show you the pics of this bad boy! please help.

GOT IT! I was missing the 100 ohm resistor. I did put a toggle switch back in place of the ignition, as kind of a master shut off. If my jets come in tommorrow, I should have her running by next weekend!
Can't wait to throw some pics up of this monstrosity! I'm sure you will all get a kick out of it.
