He just texted me that he was looking at a new bike, so I thought maybe someone stole his. He was hit, someone cut a red light and he lowsided has bruises tore some ligaments but says he's okay.

So, did he actually HIT the other car, or just lowside?

If there was no contact, it wasn't a hit and run, and sadly nothing can be done to the driver for causing it.

I also think he actually hit something. Low siding wouldn't shred that front cowl, but a hard smack would shatter it like the picture., or being run over by a car.

Dang, that sucks. People who drive irresponsibly like the person that hit him need to get more punishment for their incompetent actions I think. Maybe this time it was an accident, but I know they aren't always accidents, just dumb ideas such as talking on a cell phone or driving drunk.
