Some pics of my Wife at Thompson 1st track day

Here is my wife at her first track day. Thompson Ct July 12th 2015. She chose all the "upgrades" to her bike. GSXR 600 shock, Levers, Shaved seat foam, 16F 45R gearing, Grips, Risers, Cored Pipe and Jetting, Filter screen removed and custom velocity stacks, windshield and rearsets (on the way). She did great, I cant wait for her to get out on the Palmer track

Kewl!!! So great that she had a good time. Of course we knew she would.

Get her on the bike in the body position seminar next Monday!

You're doing it wrong.

You have to glance at the screen while you run past your computer.

She will be at the track walk and the body position seminar. She thinks that rearsets will help with her BP so we ordered a set right after the Thomson day. They will be here this week just in time for Palmer. She was practicing a little in the garage and I think she is ready. This will be our last trip to the track this year so the better time she has the more likely she will want to come back next year! I may gear her bike down a little bit for palmer so she has a little more pull for the multiple up hill runs. Thank you all for your support.

A few more pics from Thompson. Mr. Fist set up next to us and helped me answer some of the body position questions my wife had. We thank him and cant wait to ride with him again. I had to put all 3 bikes on one trailer, it worrked but looked funny!

i have stock gearing currently, but i just bought a 15t front for Palmer. I think thats a good combo for that track. There still isnt good pull on the uphill portions though lol, but in 2 spots i was bouncing off the rev limiter just before needing to brake and start turning in. Didnt make sence to shift only to brake and downshift, so i think the little more gearing ill gain from the 15t should be a good compromise.

Jay, bring your stock 14 just in case, hills are murder on accel for 250's. It's better to give up the one corner than to sacrifice the whole lap.

Thats when i pull out the Duc

id rather not do any work trackside if i dont have to, so if i even manage to put the 15 on it then i will live with it for the day. i still need to do the oil change on the Duc and 250 if i have time, and i may check the timing belts on the Duc to make sure they are still fine. ( I changed them a month or so ago, figured it wouldnt hurt to re check the tension on them)

That hill was already murder on the 250 anyway, i would sit up and basically count sheep, then bounce on the rev limiter a bit, then back to concentrating.
