Parts needed for a 2010
Hey folks,
I bit off a bit more than anticipated with the new Ninja. Here's the to do list to get it back on the road. Install footpegs, left footpeg bracket, and shifter. Install a radiator. Install turn signals. Install the license-plate bracket and rear fender. Install smog box. If you have any of these laying around, let me know. I have a little cash in hand and can pick them up here in So Cal. If there are any local shops that specialize in setting these bikes up for racing, could you let me know? They're usually a good source for plastics, pegs, and signals. Thanks! And... Ride on, J~ |

Since the OP is in California, I'm going to take a wild guess it's the Fuel Evaporative System.

Yes, it's a plastic box with hoses connected to it. Part of the evaporative recovery system. It's under the left side fairing next to the coil. I may just fab something up with a can. If they don't notice it during the inspection, it should be fine. Thanks for asking.
Ride on, J~ |

If I was confident I could remove it correctly, you could have mine just so I get rid of it. The overflow from the tank is already bypassing it, another hose is crimped closed, but I still have one hose going in that leads off somewhere under the tank.

Thanks, NevadaWolf. I think that a can will do the trick.
I picked up the rear-set and foot-pegs today. Rode it for the first time, too! I'll find the other stuff soon. Ride on, J~ |

Big ups to PartsNinja! Thanks, man!
The radiator and fasteners arrived today. Had the radiator installed and was riding around in an hour or so. It's a little faster than the '06 is... Ride on, J~
