Reuniting With My Old Beast!

I just talked to my dad a few days ago, and he is planning on coming down to visit over Memorial Day weekend. I was going to ask him to bring my CB550 down, but I assumed he would be flying, so I didn't even suggest it. To my surprise, without me even mentioning it, he said "You want me to bring your bike?"

Needless to say, I'm pretty pumped. I'm planning on taking it down to the nuts and bolts, probably even splitting the case and upgrading to a modern front end. Go big or go home, right? haha

I'm thinking either R6 or CBR. I haven't done enough research yet, but from what I've seen, I believe it was the R6 that is the easiest to do. When I get to that bridge, I plan on calling the folks over at All Balls Racing to make sure I have it all lined out. I believe the steering stem on the CBR has a taper that would have to be turned down to fit the CB, but for the sake of keeping it all Honda, I'd strongly consider it.

Sounds like a fun project and awesome Dad! There's someone local to me who drives a CB550 converted to a cafe racer. (I'm not 100% sure it was a cb550, but it was a CB something and Google images makes me confidant).

If I see it around, I'll snap a quick pic
