Emissions

I've searched all over the internet and found nothing, so maybe you guys can help. Do motorcycles undergo emissions testing, and more specifically in PA? Anyone living in PA have any problems with this? Area P said the exhaust would fail if they do test it so I'm just wondering if I'll need to keep the OEM system so it can pass.

Yea motorcycles are exempt Now I just gotta worry about them being anal about the fender chop, but I already called the guy up where I usually take it and he said as long as it doesn't look butchered the reflectors are really small anyway. Good stuff.

Yea it's not do for awhile though. Looking through the inspection code it says reject if the rear fender has been removed, but i didn't remove it, just chopped it, so I don't expect problems. a fender eliminator kit would be tougher to push through tho

ah i see. don't know how expensive those rear wheel 'hugger' type fenders are, but if there were any concerns you think one of those would pass inspection? good on ya for looking into that with time to spare.

Ryley, you can also use reflective tape as a replacement for the reflectors if they're going to be anal about it. If you need it, I can give you the section of federal code that states this.
