I went WOT for like five seconds on the Zx6r. Decided to stop since I was doing almost a hundred, on a road where the speed limit was well below that haha. I have yet to break 100. Too many police officers around...

Now I just call going WOT "tuning" That's how I justify it.

Do you mean "how is that"? If yes, it's amazing. Especially when your tucked in under the shield. The adrenaline rush is amazing. When you're still a supersport virgin, you also get tunnel vision. As you get bored and used to the acceleration, it kinda fades. Enjoy it while you can.

I was riding home from purchasing the bike merging on to the highway, I remember thinking "god this thing is slow".

When I was driving the 250 home, I remember I was terrified! It was my first time on a motorcycle and I wasn't comfortable enough to leave the parking lot, but it was getting late and I couldn't have it shipped.

Because I wanted to break it in correctly, I remember going WOT on this long straight road home.. that feel is something I'll never forget. Honestly.

Good times.

It's insane. You'll hit 8k RPM and think "I need to back off or shift" and all of the sudden a HUGE wash of power hits until 15k rpm. It's a very scary feeling the first few times. Even with my traction control maxed, I felt the front trying to lurch up constantly! As for highways, it's just a bit more boring. Riding a 250 on the highway felt cool because it was pushing the bike. The zx6r just kinda floats along.

I think I was scared to WOT or even 50% throttle on my 250 while I was doing the dealership test ride... it had a deductible of $1000... binning it would not have been good.

On the way home, about 30 minutes later, I was WOT.

I only did it because I downsized from a 500 to a 250, the EX500 was way too much for me and that was a bike that I never went WOT on

I've only done it in the first 4 gears then I just ran out of road. Had my heart pounding like Thor's hammer the first time. Now I'm addicted to it

Lol.

Just kidding haha, first time aggressively accelerating while practice riding my 500 felt like warp speed and I had to fight the mad wicked G forces and I wasn't even WOT. Tried WOT the first time I got my endorsement and the front wheel popped up a little and looking back it was probably really stupid but I wanted to see what she could really do. I really shouldn't have started on this bike lol. Now it's pretty much like most of you seem to ride your 250s, WOT or close to it is nothing lol. Going to be a hard habit to break when I eventually get something more powerful.

Well now I realize I wasn't mature enough for a bike this quick.. but I've grown quite a bit as have my riding skills. Now I really appreciate the extra power lol.

I think I went WOT the first day I rode it. Looking back it was probably stupid with what little experience I had on motorcycles.

But that feeling man...

Lol. If its any consolation, whitin the first hour of buying my 250 @rojoracing53 went to the outskirts of town and drag raced in the dark at like 7pm. Heads up style side by side on a two lane back road.

It's what everyone is supposed to do with their brand new bike. Answer the question how fast does it go?

I think it was the fourth day of riding (ever) that I did WOT on a long stretch. Of course I only brought it up to 12k then. It was exciting and was a little scared to do it, but I wanted to know what to expect in case I ever needed to (lol). Now, WOT happens all the time

What was really scary, was when the front end pop'd off the ground from an aggressive 1st gear launch. I wasn't expecting that. Or the time I hit too much back brake on a hard brake, and the ass end started swinging/sliding around to the side of me and the bike was going down. Lucky I got control of the bike just in time.
