Short handlebar risers/spacer
Hi all, I've started work on a crashed pregen, and right now the cheapest fix for broke handlebars has been to install MX bars. Cheapest cuz had bars and got some bolt on bar mounts for dirt cheap.
I want to bolt down the bar mount to the rear most stock handlebar riser holes, but that's not going to work too well I unless its flush with the rest of the triple. Anyone know where I can get a spacer or 'riser' that would normally raise the stock riser about 10mm? Or do I have to DIY/have a machinist cut me some blocks? |

I had considered chopping down the stock ex500 risers to user as a spacer, they bolt on, but are a little wider where the bolts go through. I was hoping for something cleaner, even if it costs a little more. |

I've seen MX on a Ninjette, but don't remember which member did it. I also remember it was pretty much a bolt on upgrade.
My risers are off a ZX600C which are almost a direct swap, and lower the bars about an 1 1/2, and a slight angle change as well. I did a similar setup on my EX, using risers off an 86' Ninjette. If you get is all sorted out, please post your results, don't forget the pictures. Or looking to lower or raise the bars?

I've been taking some pictures, and I'll try to do a write up, but it might just be a repost from ADVrider where I primarily hang out.
With just the bolt on mounts, the MX bar keeps similar height to the stock bars, but with the extra risers I picked up, it'll pull it up and back a bit more. The bike is for my shorter GF, so I'm hoping that the bars will put her in a more up right riding position for better visibility. |

A popular choice for raising the bars is these, http://www.motorcyclelarry.com/index...hed0n599r0epl4
But if you or a friend has access to a machine shop, then making a pair of riser blocks is easily done.
