Broken Frame Slider
So I went to go on a ride today, checked my tires and noticed my left frame slider was dangling and I literally just pulled it out. Stood there for about 5 seconds with a total wtf look on my face. The weld of the two pieces has completely come apart.
I was told that the bike was dropped from a stand still by a previous owner, and I can tell it's the side where the frame slider came off. Are frame sliders supposed to be replaced after they've done their job once? |

That was just tacked on, those two bits at either end is all the weld there was. That wasn't fully welded.

Oh yeah....Most guys here at CRA pull em off and weld the underside so they won't do that.

Totally, grind it down a bit and get welding
I've always thought the slider pucks were too long on these kits causing extra leverage on the weak welds
