Bike stalling & weird noise after CCT cleaning and lube

So I cleaned and lubed my CCT, after putting it back in the bike acts like its not getting enough gas, if I don't give it gas it'll continually just idle down and cut out. Theres also an odd noise, sort of a whine when I give it gas. If I had to guess it sounds like the CCT is placing TOO much tension on the Cam Chain. Any ideas? Does it take some riding to readjust?

sounds like your cct is placing too much tension on the chain. you have to back it all the way out then install it. I think there a how to somewhere here.

What's the advantage of that eBay one? Easier installation?

No real advantage to others other than showing what a manual tensioner looks like.

Both Ape and Krieger make a great product that does it's job well, if you can get one less than the other, then pick it up.

the advantage of a manual CCT is that you don't have to rely on spring-loaded tension to determine the position of the tensioner rod

they can't "fail" unless that rod actually breaks off (which it won't). unlike the auto ones.

you should get one from Krieger because he's actually a real person who machines them himself he and i have emailed many times about upgrades to the klx 250 and I would definitely choose to support him!
