Crooked handle bars

Ok some more post crash questions/headaches...i was riding around...and i looked down and it appeared as if my handle bars were slightly crooked...it as if i would be taking a very slight slow speed turn to the right...but i dont know if it is just a trick of the eyes or what...do your bars appear to be lower on the right end? or...i know you can align the rear wheel...is it possible to align the front?

forks are most likely twisted in the triple tree. very easy to fix if nothing is actually bent.

exactly. loosen the bolts that hold the forks to the triple tree, then find a solid object (wall, concrete footing, etc) and whack the tire against it by quickly turning the handlebars in the opposite direction of the twist.

when everything is straight, tighten the bolts back up.

be careful when whacking the tire against the wall to not ding the wheel.

I use this method to straighten the dirt bike forks. Crash a lot in the dirt and forks get tweaked all the time. You don't even have to loosen up the bolts with the dirtbike. In the trails we use the nearest rock or tree.

the 250R may be a bit harder to straighten out. If my method doesn't work, you'll need to take the front fender off, take off the metal brace they have under there, then try straightening it out using this method.

gl... let me know if it works.

Happened to me on my 250R. I did the same thing that Kelly suggested, its an old dirt bike remedy lol. Whacked the front tire against a wall, problem solved.

*files in brain for future reference* Just gotta say, the signal-to-noise ratio on this forum is awesome. By the time I get my bike, I'll be ready to roll! Thanks y'all!

( Now, why doesn't whacking it against the wall fix a computer? I guess I shouldn't complain, or I'd be out of a job! )
