[webbikeworld.com] - Fast Filings: MV Agusta?s Updated the Tech-Retro 921 S

Back in EICMA of 2022, MV Agusta revealed a concept called the 921 S – a stunning “Tech Retro” bike that had the industry quickly crying for more , and the Varese-based brand delivering, slotting a mid-2024 debut date for the café racer concept. They were even so kind as to give us a list of componentry for the thing (sourced from MCN):
  • 921cc, inline-four engine capable of Euro5 compliancy and a 114hp/86lbft power profile
  • Öhlins suspension (electronically adjustable forks / rear single shock absorber)
  • Brembo brakes (four-piston calipers at the front and two pistons with a single 220mm disc at the rear)
  • 4.5-inch touchscreen display
  • 16-liter tank
  • LED lights
  • Clip-on bars
  • 205kg weight (dry)
MV Agusta’s 921 S concept, which could very soon become a reality. Media sourced from MV Agusta. It stands to reason that a concept as important as the 921 S would eventually become a reality – and as of April 5, the NHTSA’s got further proof of just that.*

Amidst the fine print, we see the following models being readied for updates:
  • 921 S
  • 921 GT
  • Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro limited edition
  • Superveloce 1000 R
  • Superveloce 1000 S
  • Superveloce 98 Edizione Limitata
  • Brutale 950
  • Dragster 950
  • LXP (Lucky Explorer)
  • LXP Orioli
  • LXP Premium
Filings showing a list of MV Agusta models being updated, including the 921 S concept. Media sourced from RideAPart.A reminder that brands looking to file their goods are becoming more limited in what they can register; those limits now show that protection of trademarks can only be applied to bikes coming soon to markets, so it will be interesting to see what MV Agusta does with this list, and what the next set of papers will contain.*

MV Agusta’s 921 S concept, which could very soon become a reality. Media sourced from MV Agusta.Considering PIERER Mobility now provides support via a 25.1% stake in the Agusta table, it’s more than likely MV Agusta now has the financial means to punt out new bikes on a more regular basis, and we’re happy to see it so.
