Crooked Fairings

The sad long story told quickly is that I am a noob and crashed my 2011.
The front headlamp collided with a vertical object. The headlights were shattered, the headlamp assembly bent, and the fairing around it cracked.

The bike was driveable afterward. When I sit on the bike with the handlebars and wheel straight ahead, the fairing is about 1/4" to the left. It seems the steel framework that the fairings all are bolted to needs to rotate clockwise.

I am mechanical but a novice rider. I can probably fix this, I just don't know whether I should ride again, but that's a different topic....

Any help to get the bodywork back in alignment?

No pics right now.

If you're sitting square, the instrument cluster looks to be rotated a few degrees left/counterclockwise.

If you are looking down on the bike, the left fairing is 1/4" away from the gas tank. The shiny black outer fairing is offset, exposing the dull black plastic that it clips into.

Sounds like you have to take the fairings apart and see what's really happening.. ....they might have shifted

i'm in a similar situation. after my low side, the fairing stay is all crooked. i'm gonna try to bend it back to as straight as i can. unless someone knows where i can pick one up for cheap.
