A new addition to the family

So we went out to this place called CAP (Citizens for Animal Protection). It is a donation based operation that is a no-kill shelter. Anyway, that is the place my wife and I always donated to. She gets a check every year where her company will donate to any organization the employee desires. She always chooses CAP. Well when we drop off the check, we always walk around and see the dogs and cats they have there. This day was no different and we started looking around.

I turned the corner and saw a Sphynx in one of the cages. A Sphynx in a shelter is extremely rare. My wife has been in love with that breed for ages now. So I signaled her to come over and see the cat. I already had the cage open petting the cat. My wife's jaw dropped, bumped me out of the way and got at the cat. A volunteer there asked if we wanted to go into a "cuddle" room, as they call it. So we went in there, away from others, and looked at the cat. I could tell that we were not going home empty handed (actually I knew the second I saw the cat).

So now we have 4 cats. We are at our limit, no more, period.

We kept her (the new cat) in the bedroom last night, locking out the other cats (which they did not appreciate). Well her personality started to show at around 2am. Purring, cuddling, just very affectionate. Yeah, we will keep her.

So here is a pic of "Emma":

So, that was my day yesterday. My wife won't come out of the room. hahahaha

I've wanted a dog, but I don't want one right now. I don't want a dog unless someone is home for a decent part of the day. I couldn't just leave one in the back yard.

Most people leave their dogs inside during the day...

Anyway your day was eerily similar to mine. We donate to the milo foundation which is n organization that rescues animals from high kill shelters in the area. We were in there to drop off some supplies and a check from a silent auction that we held at one of her company parties a few weeks ago. Except we did leave empty handed. Can't fit any mee cats in my tiny apartment.
