rewire headlight
Has anyone rewired or know of a mod to turn off the headlight when the bike is on, and have it be able to turn them both on instead of having one on at a time, the headlight housing gets really hot from the bulb being on, also i have a tinted film over my headlight and while riding during the day I would like to have my lights off.

As for the lights, you will need to cut one wire coming from Diode "a"(i think) and wire in a SPST relay with a switch, this will allow you to turn the headlights on and off, and only when the bike is running. I remember posting a wiring diagram and relay setup for this a while ago. Search button is your friend, too lazy to look it up. |

Yeah I have to agree with Asspire here. Our headlights are one of our defensive measures to help the cagers see us. I'm really not sure why you would want to turn them off... especially if they are tinted as well.
 To each his own I guess and GL with the project.
