sportisi swing arm and rear hugger
I'm in the process of procuring a Sportisi swing arm & rear hugger to cover up that tiny stock swingarm. For those who has one install, can you give me some feedbacks regarding installation, chain cleaning/adjustment (is it in the way), quality of the piece (not flexible, too brittle, crack easily etc.) or anything you can think of...either pro or cons...
Thanks for your help guys. |

I have the swing arm cover and rear hugger. I haven't had the chance to install it, but I am impressed with the quality. The product seems like it is well made, sturdy and solid. It doesn't look like it would get in the way too much during chain maintenance.
The plastic swing arm cover seems to be a good mix of sturdy strong plastic, but is flexible enough that you can still move it if you need to. The rear hugger itself looks very sturdy and is well finished. I'm going to be using a bigger tire for track next summer, but I was told my worst case would be to add a washer between the cover and hugger to allow for some more space if I found the fit on a larger tire to tight. I just don't want to install it on a dirty bike, and since it's -14C today I don't think I will be out washing and waxing the bike |

Yeah have patience on the install and don't rush it. I've had a few customers try to install it in 15 minutes (and didn't follow instructions) which ended up being hours of frustration. I got a call stating the SA cover didn't fit and there was no way it was going to fit. All assemblies are prefitted prior to shipping so I know they fit. I refunded him his money then installed it on my bike in 15 minutes (I'm a pro so I can do it quick) This is a Fiberglass unit so it will bend but it does have a breaking point which is why the patiece is needed.
Jean your pretty handy so you should have no issues. lubing the chain takes a little longer than before but it is not a real hassle.

I can do a fiber glass base and a cf wrap bring you home in the $275 range. Pure CF throughout cost me $300 just to have made and at that price you might as well buy the Atech one which would be in the $400+range shipped from japan.
