Spanish MotoGP

I'm going to the Spanish MotoGP his weekend. I bought 4 tickets but now only my older son wants to go with me (I think the younger son's girlfriend isn't allowed to go). I have two extra seats if anyone wants them. I got a deal on a charter fight that has extra seats (not sold out) for $100 round trip including hotel. You have to pay for your own meals though. This should be a great weekend with four Americans in the race.

I'm predicting John Hopkins wins on the Suzuki (if anyone wants to put some money on it).

Are you saying Hopkins doesn't have a chance?

WOW, what a race!

The best race I've seen all day.

I won't elaborate since many of you probably haven't seen it yet but, WOW.

GO HONDA (go away).

Wow. Exciting bit of racing, that's for sure. (probably should hold off on spoilers for just a little while longer)

I'm not sure but I bet if you look at SpeedTV.com they might have a schedule for all their broadcasts.

I guess anyone how hasn't seen it isn't going to see it.

All I can say is, "slippery when wet".

I bet alot of riders are kicking themselves in the ass.

Remind me to send Val that $20 I owe him for taking out Stoner.

Ben, you were handed a second and didn't want it.

Carl, you were handed a podium and didn't want it.

Whoever rides that 69 bike, congratulations for hanging in there and getting the last podium stop.

Georgie boy, you rock.

I haven't been so excited about a MotoGP race in a while. I was screaming and yelling a 8am on a Sunday morning. I thought I was watching NASCAR (no wait, they don't run in the rain).

The rain in spain falls mainly on the italians.

I don't know WTH Rossi was thinking. It does look like the they are getting the Ducs dialed in though.

Spies and Edwards decided to shorten their race also.

Lots of guys had positions given to them, but as the commentators said you need to stay on 2 wheels. Man what action. Give it to Lorenzo though for being given the lead and not screwing it up.

I think Rossi was thinking that he was only gonna get slower and slower as the race went on and wanted to get ahead as fast as possible to minimize his slow times when his shoulder started bothering him. Racing is a lot about statistics and the only way to prevent something like what happened is to stay home. Beyond that its all about maximizing possible value which is what I assume he was trying to do.

By staying on the bike.

I'll admit I was happy when Simoncelli went down. Then Spies passes Pedrosa and I'm cheering, and then pissed a lap later when he goes down.

All in all it was a crazy race.

It was an amazing race to say the least. I'm sure there will be some schooling on how to finish a race (especially when you got a podium postion.

What time is that on the East Coast?

You have to get Rossi some credit for going down and then charging back through the field to finish 5th.

Rossi can only do well in the wet on that Duc. And he's having the same problems with the front that Stoner had.

Who the heck apologizes with their helmet still on? Rossi, you had plenty of time to take it off.

I think the reason he was doing well in the rain is because he can brake slower and softer in the rain and not put so much pressure on his shoulder.

I have seen a lot of criticism of the apology and the way I saw it was he went STRAIGHT off the bike over to apologize. I think people would have found reasons to be mad at Rossi no matter how he handled the situation after the crash.

Crazy race, super exciting, and more MotoGP drama to get us through the month. SuperSic's definitely showing he has the speed to hang with the "aliens" , the rain surely helped Rossi's & Dani's shoulders, and Casey has tons more fuel to continue being mad at the world.

12th to 2nd, then Dead Last to 5th - Love/Hate him, only Rossi

yeah, crazy race for sure. Tough one for me to watch as all but one of my riders bit it or were taken out. Racing is racing, but I can understand Stoner not being too pleased with the outcome.

Ya me too, bummer that Edwards had to go out that way to make it happen. Hayden really isn't much of a podium finisher, he won an entire season with only 2 wins!

Did you see their tires at the end of the race? They were practically riding on SLICKS!! THere was no tread left on the tires. No wonder so many went down. Bridgestone FAIL!
