Idk if I'll set up the wireless brake lights on it but I just rode with it for about an hour and my confidence riding the bike shot through the roof. I have much more clarity and peripheral vision, the helmet vents perfectly, doesn't catch wind at highway speeds, is very quiet, and draws attention. I must have gotten 10 stares from people looking at my helmet . It's nice to know my visor won't fly off all the sudden too .

p.s. check out the new avatar

Holy cow, you got a lot of nice extras!! Loves it.

Buying all my gear before I get my motorcycle, got my new helmet today in the mail.

Scorpion EXO-500. A little tight at first but after listening to other scorpion helmet owners I wore it for about an hour and got used to the fit and love it.

One side:

The front, Notice the nice liner inside x-) (Got a smoked shield on order, but it's taking a bit, I'm guessing because of the defect.)

And here is my favorite safety feature, (The message for emergency personnel, It tells them if they have to remove my helmet, deflate the airbladders inside the helmet before doing so. This way they dont yank my head off and I have more of a problem. Lol.

Comes with all the features of the other helmets from what I know. Sun visor and quick and easy visor release thing. Also you're able to crack the visor now, but its not working that great in all honesty. I heard from cyclegear when I called today that they're on back order because of a visor problem, idk what it is though so when I go in tomorrow for my new shoes I'll be asking. It also comes with the chin guard showing the message. Which Im glad I didnt have to buy separately.

Edit: I emailed scorpion and only an hour later I got an email back saying there is a recall on the face shields. I'll be sending mine in tomorrow. Great customer service, fastest response to an email that I've ever gotten from a huge company.

I've had to buy a ridiculous amount of replacement shields for my GMAX GM58S (same shield as the 48S, 68S, etc). The little tabs just keep breaking. Long before that happens, the detents start to wear out and it won't stay open in the wind at the most-used positions. I did like that they include speaker pockets but the 58S was WAY too loud to hear anything (and whistles too!) I hear that the 68S is LOUD too, but it makes up for it with great venthilation.

I find my EXO-1000 so tight that I never inflate it anyway.

Being a video game nerd (and huge Mass Effect fan), I had no choice but to make my helmet look like something Shepard would wear. So an N7 vinyl here, some pinstripe tape there, and voila! I'd like to do something more to it, haven't figured out what yet though.

Also has some light...err...battle damage.
Added on purpose of course...

How'd you cut the vinyl? Did you ever do the jacket up like your avatar?

I've been planning to make a really corny VG-related one for a while... Captain Falcon. I'd use a custom SkillSkins skin because I could take it off when I need to look professional and I can cover some other cool things underneath (battery, lights, etc).

My first helmet was inherited because it fit my head better than the original owner.

I'm having problems finding a second helmet.

^^ agreed! Did any of you get the aeroskirt? I was debating on getting it but I ended up not ... Dark smoke shield is definitely a must, especially here in the valley of the sun.
