2014 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 First Look

Sport-touring model based on 800 three-cylinder platform; Lusso version features Sachs semi-active suspensionMV Agusta has introduced the Turismo Veloce ("Fast Tourer") sport-touring model, with a standard version and an upgraded Lusso version that includes semi-active suspension, saddlebags, an electronic gear-change system and anti-wheelie control.

Both versions of the Turismo Veloce incorporate MV Agusta's traditional hybrid chassis with steel tubing for the front section of the frame mated to aluminum plates at the rear. The engine is the same basic 798cc triple from the F3 800 and Brutale 800 models; a second-generation MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System) allows customized mapping of the engine's electronics, along with three preset options for Touring (limiting output to approximately 100 horsepower), Sport (full power) and Rain (where traction control is automatically set to maximum). In the Custom setting, power output, rev limiter cut-in point, throttle sensitivity, engine braking, engine response and traction control can all be adjusted. The new system, MVICS 2.0, also features cruise control and Electronically Assisted Shift (EAS 2.0), which allows upshifts and downshifts to be made without using the clutch. Both the standard model and the Lusso model will be equipped with ABS as standard. A new 5-inch TFT instrument panel provides information and allows access to the electronic parameters, and includes Bluetooth communication to allow rider-to-passenger communication; the Lusso model has GPS incorporated into the display panel.
