Normally I would see this:

You Have 8,588 Unread Posts You last visited: Today at 07:31 AM Private Messages: Unread 0, Total 16. I no longer have the drop down option to view post quotes or helpful post additions, etc. What did I do?? I only opened the PM page to send a PM and POOF! its gone. Can anyone help? |

The notifications link only shows up when you have unseen items there. Once you view them, it's no longer a notification. To get to your helpful post listing, just pull down the Quick Links menu to "my own helpful answers". To see quote notifications, pull down that same Quick Links menu and go to "Your Profile". From there, there is a tab for Quotes that will show you all of the Quotes that would have once been notifications of some sort.
