Felt Like a GP Rider!

Sunday was not kind to me. Unfortunate event as I low sided on a left turn in Genting Highlands. It was weird how my hands were still gripping the throttle and I had to literally told myself to let the bike go and saw it sliding on the tarmac. Great view actually having the experience first hand (low sided / accident while wearing leathers). The high priced both jacket and pants had saved me from any wounds. A quality you expect from a good brand such as Rev'It!

I am getting another pair. This time maybe a one piece!

Good thing you were wearing your gear! Glad you're mostly ok. Crashing is always a little unnerving.

Told a friend today about this accident and he told me that the corner there has some sort of oil residue on the tarmac. Guess I have not been there for quite a while. Thank God nothing serious happened!

I'm glad you're not too badly banged up!

Do you really need new gear? Unless I missed something, that's just a little battle scarred. Just check the stitching and get it repaired if it's weakened. I learned this last part the hard way.

As far as remembering to let go, that's a common problem with beginners water skiers. When I'm teaching someone, before the first try, I tell them to let go as soon as it looks like they're going down. Bad stuff happens if you keep holding on!

Hey thanx Jim.

I was thinking to get a new gear but a one piece. This is a two piece and the zipper moved about a 1/4 from its original place. Just imagine what could happen if I was sliding quite far.. So my best bet is a one piece for the next gear, but still going to repair this one.

I have been riding for about 21 years (starting 16 yrs) but this is the first time I had an accident while gripping the bike's throttle. That was when I realize I had to let go of the bike and literally said (i believe I yelled a bit) "Let go! Let go!". No matter how long you have been on a bike, but sooner or later, there will be that moment when you froze. Thankfully during my turn, It wasn't fatal.

Definitely repairable but I also understand you wanting a 1 piece.
Always nice when equipment/gear does its job!

Glad to hear you're alright!

And the 1 piece is a solid idea. Just one minor note though, if you take long day rides, the 1 piece does make bathroom stops a bit more of a hassle.

Thanx Al.

Uh.. I definitely not going to wear the one piece for long rides. Maybe short weekend on the twists and turns for the fun of it!

Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad you were not injured, good gear is worth its weight in carbon fiber! Which bike were you on and how much damage did it receive? Would like to know the details of the bike now that we know you are OK.

Hi Ant, thanx...

Nothing serious on me nor the bike. Just scratches due to the accident which could be dealt with by coating the side. But the left foot peg is broken. I will update the picture maybe this weekend...

Yes Sir gear rocks!

Before this I thought that i might regret if I fall using the suit since it is my most expensive gear, but when that happened, i felt glad honestly. And the gear has proved its functionality. No more bootlegged products for me!
