Air box removed, now....

Hey,

I was just wondering if anyone had any creative ways of supporting the carbs with the air box removed? I am assuming it is necessary to support the carbs right?

A side from wire ties, what have you done to support the carbs?

I think its all zip ties heh. Though I went a couple hundred miles with nothing and they held just fine. I was doing a lot of rejetting and didnt want to keep wasting them. But i put ties now just in case I hit some huge bump or crash or something, they wont pop out.

I had the same problem until I replaced both rubber boots (mine were torn, I believe the carbs hanging partly contributed to it) and then that problem went away.....so that's the expensive solution.

Something else I thought of was to take the rubber boot's off and boil them in hot water (it will shrink/stiffen them a little).

The other solution (like people have suggested) is cable ties or some wire and cable ties

Good luck !

Oh, I thought you meant there was a problem resulting from the hanging .

Has there been any issues with using cable ties and them cutting through a bit of the K&N filter boot, due to movement and/or vibration?
